This machine belongs to the pressure filter equipment. The filter pump supplies the filtered liquid through the inlet pipe into the body of the device until it is completely filled. Under the influence of pressure, solid impurities contained in the filtered liquid are retained by the filter mesh on the filter elements and form a filter cake (cake). The filtrate passes through the filter mesh, enters the outlet pipe through filter attachments and is discharged from the housing, resulting in a transparent filtrate. With increasing filtration time, the amount of solid impurities retained on the filter mesh increases, the thickness of the filter cake gradually increases, which leads to an increase in filtration resistance and an increase in pressure inside the housing. When the pressure reaches a certain value, the sediment must be unloaded: the supply of filtered liquid to the housing is stopped, compressed air is supplied to the housing through the overflow pipe, which displaces the remaining filtered liquid into another container and drains the filter cake. Then the compressed air supply is shut off, the pressure from the housing is released to atmospheric pressure, after which the lid is opened by rotating the steering wheel, the filter plate is rolled out, the vibrator is turned on, causing vibration of the filter elements, and the filter cake is shaken off the filter meshes.
