In 2025, a comprehensive project for pressing and refining camellia seed oil with a capacity of 20 tons per day using cold pressing technology was officially put into operation in Yueyang City (Hunan Province). Relying on the rich local resources of camellia oilseed, the project applies advanced technology of cold pressing and oil extraction from camellia seeds, which maximizes the preservation of the natural nutrients and natural flavor of camellia oil.
The line includes a full range of refining equipment, allowing for all stages of fine cleaning: degumming, neutralization (deacid treatment), bleaching and deodorization, which effectively removes impurities and foreign odors. The result is a clear, pure oil of high quality. Cold processing technology eliminates oxidation at high temperatures, ensuring the preservation of the beneficial properties of the oil, which fully complies with the standards for vegetable oils of the highest edible quality.
The implementation of this project promotes the deepening of the processing and upgrading of the camellia oil and fat industry in Yueyang region, stimulates the standardized high-quality production of local camellia oil, enhances the added value of agricultural products, and promotes the sustainable development of the regional oilseed and vegetable oil processing sector.
